Now that your child’s winter break has started, we’re sure that they’ll have a lot of free time to enjoy themselves and rest. However, they can also engage in some learning activities from time to time to become a better student. For example, they can practice their grammar over the holidays.
If you’d like your child to reinforce their knowledge of grammar, The Tutoring Center in Ocoee will share a few easy tips.
How to Practice Grammar Over the Break
Reading is a great activity (for children and adults) that not only works your grammar, but expands your knowledge, stimulates your imagination, and increases your vocabulary. You can even read books along with your child and discuss them later.
What better way to become a better writer than by writing? Encourage your child to keep a journal over the holidays in which they document what happened each day and what they learned. Or you can tell them to use their imagination and make up short stories.
Practicing grammar may not be all that fun, but you can reward your child if they do it right. You can give them worksheets to complete (you can find good ones online), so they can keep working and improving their grammar.
